Podcasts || Podcasts I’m listening to

It’s funny how with technology my reading ritual before bed has turned into audio listening getting ready for the day. And even when Podcast became a norm in my daily routine, I pretty much stuck to comedy or short episodes that I could easily skim through a 15 minute break. Today, my list of podcasts really show a completely different person who has definitely said hello to her mid-twenties.

Entertainment:

Conan O’Brien

“ Over the years and despite thousands of interviews, Conan has never made a real and lasting friendship with any of his celebrity guests. So, he started a podcast to do just that.” Fun fact: I almost never watch movies because I’ve never been one to sit for too long or really care for that matter. This was especially true for late-night shows that reviewed those movies I never watched. But now, I feel like I can actually call myself a fan of this comedian because of the real conversations and quick wit between himself, his assistant and the many celebrity guests.

Bill Burr’s Morning Podcast

Now just because I wasn’t one to watch movies doesn’t mean I wasn’t a big fan of comedy. Trust me when I say I love stand-up, and the introduction of comedians to the podcast world has been one of the best things that has happened. In this show, Bill rambles about news, family and everything in between while sticking with his almost-aggressive humor. He is definitely one to spit out his opinions that is unapologetically honest – and for that, I am a fan.

Office Ladies

I’m new to this podcast but I love everything that has to do with The Office. “Each week, Jenna and Angela will break down an episode of The Office and give exclusive behind-the-scene stories that only two people who were there, can tell you.” I’m excited to get rolling on this and hear the behind the scenes humor from the early 2000’s cult.

Confidence:

Goal Digger

I’ve actually been listening to Jenna Kutcher for a few years now and I cannot recommend her enough. Episode after episode, her conversations are genuine and you can feel her inspiration to become a better entrepreneur/marketer/person is because of her longing to help. It was actually the reason I started to look for more podcast that delved into business and confidence.

RISE with Rachel Hollis

Another favorite that actually came from listening to Jenna Kutcher. I was on search for more words of wisdom and came across her book “Girl, Stop Apologizing.” After learning about the missions in her book and her movement “#Last90Days,” I knew I had to listen to her show.

EmpowerHER

Now I am going to be honest about this one. I am bit reluctant to say I 100% “recommendation” because of personal preference (I like to feel less like a party during empowerment speeches and more like a genuine connection). BUUUT, that’s not to say that some of the things to brings up aren’t worth listening to. She also has a roster of incredible guests that shed light on their weakest points in life and how they ultimately fought past them.

Business/Marketing:

Skimm This

I’m one of those people that loves to knows what’s going on in the world but isn’t the biggest fan of committing my day to reading article after article. Skimm This brings the top news and the highlights from current events and reads them to you within 15 minutes. The best thing is their newsletter and website also has links to the full story if one catches your attention.

Robindhood Snacks

“Your daily dose of financial news.” Robinhood did an incredible job at pairing a topic that isn’t the most interesting with two hosts that know how to add a little humor to every story. Reading the top stories in business and pointing out the important of those stories all under 20 minutes.

Dave Ramsey

This one might be the “heaviest” podcast I watch, and it deserves all the attention. He listens to real people and gives them real advice on how to get out debt, save for the future and ultimately live smarter with your finances.
