New Years Resolutions: Themes || Let’s first start off with a round of applause for us all making it through this past year. Boy has it been A YEAR!
In previous years, I would spend the last days writing up my goals and milestones that I hope to achieve in the next 12 months. And yes, that included a vision board and all the works. But let’s be honest. 2020 wasn’t exactly the year we can truly get upset for putting aside those goals. It was hard enough to just get through it.
But that doesn’t mean we should put goals aside entirely. Pandemic or not, we should always have that driving force that pushes us to improve on ourselves in anyway. With that being said, say hello to my new method of goal planning: THEMES.
Themes allow you to create a direction in which you would like to see your life improve. Let’s say last year said you would run a 10K but fell short at a 5K before the world shut down. You never got the chance to check that little box off. But, with goal themes, your general direction to run more (or better or faster, etc) is successfully completed by simply running throughout the year. Plus, keeping a goal that is flexible promotes a more sustainable milestone that we are more likely to accomplish.
