Things To Do: Valentine’s Day in Olympia

As a February baby and a lover of love, Valentine’s day has always been a “top” day to celebrate in my book. With my family in LA and my boyfriend in WA, I get to spend a lot of my time flying back and forth. But this also means I get to spend a lot of time figuring out what to do in each city. This time, I get to find fun and festive ideas that may be out of the ordinary for the day of love in the Evergreen State– Valentine’s Day in Olympia. Oh, for the love of love.

Anti-Valentine’s for all the SINGLE LADIES (&Fellas)

“Single, taken or somewhere in between? Who cares it’s still a Wednesday.” No reservations are needed so just drop in for one day only menu items and cocktails all day long. Get more information HERE. Located in Yelm, only a 20 min drive from downtown Olympia. Starting at 11am.

Coffee Roasting Tour & Tasting

“In addition to exploring our roasting and production facility and learning about how coffee arrives in your cup, you’ll participate in a cupping class and a brewing class. You’ll also take home a pound of delicious Batdorf & Bronson fresh roasted coffee, a Clever Dripper or a V-60 Hario Dripper with filters for brewing great pour-over coffee at home.” Check out their other dates & sign up on Facebook.

Chocolates & Cuddles

Don’t forget about the little ones! Chocolates and cuddles combines baby goats and chocolates. “bottle feed baby goats, cuddle with their tiny little perfect bodies, and leave with chocolate truffles made with milk from our dairy girls!” Check out Lost Peacock Creamery for more information.

Fall in love with Olympia again!

Just like every relationship, sometimes access and availability makes you take things for granted. This Valentine’s day, take time out of your day and spend it with your SO walking the halls of the Capitol with a free tour. Maybe grab a delicious sub from Meconi’s afterwards!

Escape the Town

Located smack in the middle of the 5-freeway, you have easy access to so many tourist towns in WA state. Forgo Seattle & Portland, and take the drive to Leavenworth, Vancouver, BC, or even one of the top ski spots around like White Pass. Squatc up!

Here are some oldies but goodies to try out for your romantic night out!

Dinner and a Movie, With so much rain this week, why not stay in & watch a #1 hit?

Night at the Museum: Love Bytes, Join others for “Adult Swim” at the Hands-On Children’s Museum. Minus the children.

Chocolates & Wine, The perfect combination. Celebrate with a local winery the whole weekend for only $15.

Chat through Dinner, Grab a seat by the water and finish that bottle of wine while enjoying amazing food at Anthony’s or another great restaurant downtown.

Make it Personal, My boyfriend loves adventure & surprises. I’m taking a tip from Brooke (Sophia Bush in OTH) & making the night a scavenger hunt to his favorite dinner.
